I’m definitely a creature of habit when it comes to beauty and skincare products. My skin can be sensitive, so trying out new products can be a pain. I also try and stay minimal with my makeup and skincare collection, only having products that I use regularly and completely before buying new. But sometimes I do like to venture out and love discovering new favorites, whether that is a brand or particular product.
The products below are my newest favorites in my makeup and skincare collections. Tata Harper, RMS Beauty and Herbivore are already favorites and go-to brands. Patrick Ta is new to me but such a good find.
Herbivore Cloud Jelly Pink Plumping Hydration Serum
Herbivore makes great products, my favorite being their Bakuchiol Retinol Alternative Smoothing Serum. So when they bring out a new product, I’m confident I will like it. As someone who has sensitive skin and is always looking for ways to add a light layer of moisture, this is a great option. I layer this on first, followed by the Bakuchiol Serum, and then finish with a night moisturizer. I do feel like it offers hydration without being heavy or greasy.
Tata Harper Water-Lock Moisturizer
I love this moisturizer so much I just ordered their refill pod. I keep this for warmer months to mix with my Supergoop tinted sunscreen. It feels so nice on the skin, offering a light layer of moisturizer. If you don’t have drier skin in the winter, I’d say this could be a year-round moisturizer. I also love that the company offers a refill pod to not only save you money, but also cut down on packaging.
Patrick Ta Major Brow Shaping Wax Tinted
Why do great eyebrow products that last more than a few weeks seem so hard to find? I’ve tried so many eyebrow products, some great and some duds. But if an eyebrow product seems to be used up in a few weeks, I move on. This has to be my favorite eyebrow product I’ve tried – ever. It’s an affordable price point, it lasts a long time, it goes on incredibly light and actually holds my eyebrows in place without making them stiff.
RMS Beauty Straight Up Mascara
I love RMS! Their products never disappoint and their new mascara is no exception. I’ve used their mascara in the past, but honestly it is a bit pricey for me. I only use my mascara for 3 months, so mascara alone can take up a chunk of money each year. But with that being said, if you don’t mind spending a bit more, this is a great flake-free and smudge-free option.
RMS Beauty Tinted Daily Lip Balm in Passion Lane
Lip products are my vice. In the past I tended to collect them and then never really use them. I’m still getting better at that and rarely buy them. Lip glosses are too gooey for me and lipsticks are too drying, so a tinted lip balm is the perfect option. This feels very light on, with buildable color and does actually provide moisture.
Patrick Ta Major Glow Body Oil in Rose
I’ve always wanted to try out a shimmery body oil but have never actually bit the bullet and bought one. Not only does this make you shimmer like a goddess, but it also smells amazing. I bought this before my friend’s wedding and brought it with me to use on the big day. Once the other bridesmaids and bride saw this on, they all wanted to use it. It just gives you this heavenly glow that is very understated. I will definitely be keeping this stocked in my skincare collection.
